Giacoletto Foundation partners with Kirkwood
Long before his death, Giacoletto began working on his estate planning, carefully ensuring that his estate would provide support for education. He had no children of his own. His brother, Lawrence, died in 2004, and John decided to honor him by establishing a Foundation in both their names. More

Jerene Thomas honors husband, son through Kirkwood scholarships
In 2006, Jeri established the Ed Thomas Memorial Scholarship, providing $500 each year to a non-traditional student in the culinary arts program. Cooking and auto-repair have been integral elements of Jerene Thomas's life. Her husband Ed loved cooking and Jeri loved working on cars, a love their son Craig inherited. More

Merv and Ginny Cronbaugh Endowed Scholarship
Merv Cronbaugh had a lasting impact on the Cedar Rapids community, both as a longtime counselor at Kennedy High School and a tireless supporter of Kirkwood Community College. Merv served for 21 years on Kirkwood's Board of Trustees, and also on the board of the Iowa Association of Community College Trustees. More
