My scholarship has benefitted me greatly because I came into my freshman year with many outside scholarships that were not renewable. Luckily Grand View had some internal scholarships I could apply for. This has helped me focus on improving my academics and athletics, instead of worrying about finances. I've especially been able to enhance my resume with extra projects and organizations that having a full-time job would interfere with.

After graduation I plan on getting a job for a news company, whether it be writing for a newspaper or broadcasting for a TV station. I also intend on developing more of my own brand as a freelance writer and producer.
