Bequests

Specific Bequests:

Allows a specific asset (stocks, bonds, real estate), an amount of money, or a percentage of the estate to be given.

I give to the King County Library System Foundation ____% of my estate.

I give to the King County Library System Foundation $____ or ____ property.

Residuary Bequest:

Residuary bequest leaves the remainder of your estate to King County Library System Foundation once all outright bequests have been made.

All the residue or ____% of my estate, including real and personal property, I give to King County Library System Foundation.

Contingent Bequest:

Contingent bequest allows the King County Library System Foundation to receive a distribution from the estate if, and only if, one or more of the named beneficiaries does not survive.
