Terry and Chuck Chism
Lending a Helping Hand Where It's Needed Most

Terry E. (Malloy) Chism '71 and her husband Charles R. Chism, Jr. have established an endowed scholarship that will be funded with gifts from their estates. Terry was one of the first women to attend Saint Mary's University when the school went co-ed in 1969, after attending a community college in Rochester. Terry "fell in love" with the campus and the Christian Brothers during a visit while in high school, and that love has continued to this day. Terry lost her father when she was 14 and needed help to get to college. A scholarship made her Saint Mary's education a reality. The Malloy Chism Family Endowed Scholarship will provide financial assistance to students who, like Terry when she was a student at Saint Mary's, are supported by a single or widowed parent. Terry and Chuck value the Lasallian Catholic education she received and have established this scholarship so that their efforts in life will live on through future students. Their legacy ensures that the values Terry gained at Saint Mary's will continue far beyond their lifetimes.
