Welcome to Regis University's Planned Giving Web site!

Dear Friends,

To my mother the values of family, faith and education were ones never to be taken for granted. She didn't have much money, living as a widow for 20 years after my dad's passing, yet she always gave to charities that reflected her values. She was especially proud of her college and that her oldest daughter became a fellow alumna and teacher.

My mother never asked me for help with her estate plan, so when she died in 2005, I was humbled to discover what she had arranged. She reserved funds for family and charities through annuities, life insurance and retirement plan assets.

I tell you this personal story not to canonize my mother, but to illustrate that it does not take wealth to establish an estate plan. You do not need years of courses and certifications to figure out what type of legacy you want to leave. Rather, it requires discipline and conscience to map out who and what is important to you in your life and how you can best care for them—even after your death.

As I am quickly learning, Regis University has a special effect on its many alumni, faculty, staff and friends. They're sharing with me how important Regis is to them, many through planned gifts.

And I now ask in return, how do you want Regis to remember you?
