Billie spent her entire tenure with LPS teaching business education at Pound Junior High Middle School. Robert began his career at Prescott Elementary School where he served as a classroom teacher, team leader, and coordinator. More

Ultimately, she pursued a career in fundraising for various causes in the not-for-profit sector. More

Clyde Johnson received his education from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln Nebraska with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1958. He retired in April 1998 from Assurity Life Insurance Co. More

Dorothy Metcalf
Dorothy Metcalf is a graduate of the Lincoln Public School’s Jackson High School. She termed her career working for all five judges in the district court for 20 years "a great learning experience on the subject of law." More

Mary C. Commers
Mary C. Commers graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. degree in English and from the University of Nebraska with a M.A. in English. Her life has centered around education ever since. More

Richard S. Hay, DDS
Richard Hay is a graduate of the Lincoln Public Schools. He retired in 1967 as a Commander in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. A former Trustee of the Nebraska Art Association, Dr. Hay has received special recognition for volunteer and philanthropic work for the arts. More

Frances E. Buell
Frances E. Buell retired in 1987 after teaching Mathematics at Lincoln High School for 33 years. An only child, she grew up on a farm near Murdock, Nebraska. The family farm is the original homestead where her grandfather settled in 1871 after moving from New York. She says her farm background taught her “to first get the work done,” a lesson that carried over into the activities of her life. More

Gayle Hurlbert Morin
Northeast Nebraska was home for Gayle Hurlbert Morin home until 1959, when the Lincoln Public Schools “ made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.” More
