Major, Planned & Endowed Giving
The Hull Society
Are you a member of the Hull Society?
The Hull Society was formed to recognize those who have included Longwood in their estate plans whether through their will, a life insurance policy, a trust or a life-income agreement. There are currently more than 80 members of this prestigious group.
The Hull Society bears the name of two of Longwood's largest benefactors: Dr. Duvahl Ridgway Hull '33 and Mr. Andrew W. Hull. Together, the Hull's served the University in one capacity or another for over 100 years. Dr. Hull served as Rector of our first Board of Visitors and Mr. Hull served as President of the Longwood University Foundation. At their deaths, Longwood received an estate gift valued at over $3.4 million.
Each year, Hull Society members receive quarterly updates from the President and invitations to exclusive Longwood University events. Most importantly, you get the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of Longwood students for generations to come.
If you have not yet let us know that Longwood is included in your estate plans, please contact H. Franklin Grant at 434-395-2127 or email him at granthf@longwood.edu. We would like to say thank you and make sure you are recognized for your generous gift. Mr. Grant can also provide more information about the various options for making a planned gift that would be most beneficial for you, your family, and Longwood University.
