The scholarship has given me the opportunity to focus more on my schoolwork, school activities, and the leadership position I hold. College is expensive and I can only take out so many loans. Receiving this scholarship has also encouraged me to give back to the community and others in need.

I plan to stay in the Des Moines area and join the young professionals in the area. I would like to find a career I truly enjoy where I can make an impact in people's lives. Grand View has prepared me for the real world with hands on experience in classes and other campus involvement. The professors and the career center have both helped me with finding a job and my future plans. Wherever I end up at, I want to be somewhere around people and a place where I can live out my faith.
