As a student, I value insight from experienced clinicians, and look forward to being a mentor for future students, and influencing the evolution of healthcare by contributing my own fortitude and acumen to the community. Although the scope of practice is restricted by legislation, the human element will continue to be an essential feature of healthcare delivery that is free from limitation. My regard for diverse viewpoints and communication is advantageous in practice settings and, moreover, for the future of optometry through civic involvement and attempts to influence legislature.
