Bequest Language
The following language is appropriate for donors who want their bequest to be unrestricted and generally expendable by West Virginia Wesleyan College.
“I, [name], of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to West Virginia Wesleyan College, a non-profit corporation located in Buckhannon, West Virginia, [specific amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for [its unrestricted use and purpose] or [for such purpose as the Trustees of West Virginia Wesleyan College shall determine to be in the best interest of the College].”
Bequests also may be directed to purposes or operating programs of special interest to donors. In addition, bequests may be designated to the College’s permanent endowment fund for either unrestricted use or for the support of such purposes as scholarships, academic departments, faculty salaries, or other special areas of donor interest.
