United Way of Broward County's mission is to focus and unite our community to create significant lasting change in the impact areas of Education, Income, and Health—the building blocks for a better life—which positively impact people's lives. For more than 70 years, our organization has been our community's leader and trusted partner—improving lives, tackling key community issues and making a lasting difference in the quality of life for all. Through every season of life, good times and bad, United Way of Broward County has been there to provide help and hope by studying trends, assessing needs and maintaining our community's most comprehensive social service safety net.
United Way can only fulfill our mission with your sustained support and a focus on saving for the future. As a result, United Way of Broward County has committed to building a significant endowment that can help us close these gaps and ensure our stability well into the future.
Imagine impacting Broward residents ongoing by sustaining your annual giving with a planned gift. It is easy to do—just add a simple amendment or 'codicil' to your will to include United Way of Broward County in your estate plans. Your planned gift will be protected and invested in United Way's endowment fund with interest earnings impacting our budget and allocations ongoing to the community each year. Interest income from a Tocqueville Legacy Circle gift of $200,000 ensures your annual gift of $10,000 is sustained. Interest income from a Leadership Legacy gift of $20,000 will continue a leadership gift of $1,000 in perpetuity.
Our Legacy Circle Members, endowment donors, strive to fill the annual campaign gap and provide for unexpected emergencies, fund emerging community needs and ensure United Way's long-term impact through the establishment, over time, of a substantial endowment.
