Advocate Circle: Cultivating a Fundraising Support Group

Over the course of the past several years, the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation has been growing and developing as a corporation. One of the greatest challenges for the Foundation and Broadlawns, however, has been recruiting key leaders in the community to serve on the Foundation board. This creates a challenge with raising private funds and cultivating community champions for Broadlawns.

Seasoned Leaders Mentor the Next Generation
To help combat this issue, two strong community leaders, Johnny Danos and Connie Wimer, are spearheading an effort to recruit next generation community leaders from key corporations. These leaders will form an elite group of 10–12 individuals who will be trained, mentored and coached by seasoned community leaders on the importance of actively becoming involved in the community and the importance of philanthropy.

The initial group will focus on Broadlawns Medical Center's need to expand community awareness as well as financial support for their Site and Facilities Modernization Plan.
