The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Legacy Society

With the generous and loyal support of patrons and friends, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is continuing to grow and further its efforts in re-developing Pittsburgh's Cultural District, as downtown Pittsburgh's arts and entertainment destination for millions of visitors each year. This is a direct result of the generosity, vision and commitment of individual donors to the Trust. Their critical support helps to ensure the vibrancy of the Cultural District for future generations to enjoy for years to come.

The Legacy Society offers recognition to individuals who have made a provision for The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust in their will or estate plan, or for those who have created a planned gift.

The Advantages of Planned Giving
Planned giving provides the opportunity to make a charitable gift structured to meet personal, financial, tax and estate planning objectives. There are a variety of techniques and vehicles that maximize the value of a planned gift by helping reduce estate tax and capital gains tax liabilities. In addition, charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts provide are structured to provide a life income benefit.

Planned gifts make a meaningful contribution to The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust while helping to:
  • Reduce estate tax liability for heirs
  • Pass assets intact to heirs
  • Increase current and future retirement income
  • Avoid or defer capital gains on appreciated property
  • Create a continuous income stream
  • Increase the return on an existing investment
  • Make a more substantial gift to the Trust than current income permits

The Trust's staff would be pleased to provide detailed information about the various charitable gift options. For more information about the advantages of planned giving, please contact Nicholas Gigante at 412-471-5197 or gigante@pgharts.org.
