Language for the Inclusion of HMML in Your Will

Thank you for considering a bequest to the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library. Your estate gift makes it possible for HMML to continue its manuscript preservation work long into the future.

To include a gift to the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library of Saint John's University in your will, please use the following language. The corporate name is the Order of Saint Benedict, Inc.

I give, devise and bequeath:
  • a fixed dollar amount; or
  • a percentage of the remainder of my estate; or
  • a description of the property

to the ORDER OF SAINT BENEDICT, a Minnesota corporation, located at Collegeville, Minnesota, 56321 (F.E.I.N 41-0693973) for its unrestricted corporate purposes in the conduct and operation of the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library (HMML) of Saint John's University; or the establishment of a permanently restricted, endowed and named fund to support the conduct and operation of the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library (HMML) of Saint John's University. The specifics of the fund are detailed in a separate Gift Agreement that is on file at HMML, in my own records, and at my attorney's office.

Estate Gifts to Establish a Permanently Restricted, Endowed and Named Fund
If your bequest is $25,000 or larger, you may establish an endowed and named fund by filling out a Gift Agreement. We encourage you to prepare your Agreement in conversation with HMML staff. Click here to read more about a Gift Agreement for a Named Fund at HMML.
